  1. I heard some of my friends talking that they were thinking about nursing in the Philippines. Is that possible to get a ADN Degree in Nursing and return to the states as a RN? Thank you. Any advise would be helpful.:balloons:
  2. How much is the LPN program?
  3. Hi !! I used to live in the bay area and moved to Las Vegas about 3 years ago. Big mistake. The 110 degrees in the summer kinda hurt. I plan on attending a nursing school named Apollo College. It's a great school but the costs of the RN program hurts a little.....$43,700. No waiting list and I'm done in 22 months. Thats with all the prereqs, nursing concepts and clinicals. What I want to do is take the program and moved back to the bay area. I don't care if rent is expensive. I miss seeing water and the different kinds of people. The bay area is the best. If you know of any hospitals that may pay off my loan, please post it here. THanks
  4. Let's face it. Everyone is this group wants to be a nurse. I am one of them. I want to be a nurse so bad that I can taste it. Heres the problem I am facing just like you. If I go the traditional way, its going to take a lot of time just to do the prereqs. Then when you apply to the RN program, you have another issue. You probably have hundreds of other people applying thus your chances of getting in become silm. I know of a student who completed all the prereqs, gpa 3.8 and still has been passed over 3 times. To get to the topic, would u pay Apollo $43,000, Ethel Bauer $27,000, or would you consider another route.
  5. See that what scares me. Work hard for 1.5 years on the prereqs to keep a high gpa and then nothing. Get pass and pass over a number of times because the college feel that someone is more qualified.
  6. Yup it does sound steep. Thanks for the input!! I want to become a nurse so bad that I kinda want to apply for the loan to get into the program. But with interest rates the way they are, the loan amount will increase.
  7. I want to become a nurse just like most of you. I am considering Apollo but the price scares me:o!! It's super fast!! It'll be great to be done in 22 months. What do you guys think?
  8. Off the topic, how much did you pay to get into Apollo?
  9. I was considering paying the 43,000 to get into Apollo College. I heard thru some of my friends that it is almost impossible to get in. Is that true. Would you pay 43,000 to get into Apollo.
