Hello everyone,
I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.
The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.
Just couple of reminders before we get started:
1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.
2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.
3. Please stay on topic.
4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.
Thank you all.
I'm sitting June 1st too and am just starting to get nervous now. I did a practise test a few weeks ago and got 60% which was a little disappointing but then realised that I did it in 1 1/2 hours thinking the exam was only 2 hours long!!!
When I did it in the 4 hours I got a much more respectable 80% :)
This thread has been really useful, thanks everyone and good luck to those sitting in a couple of days!
I don't remember getting any paper to write down stuff as they will be very strict in ensuring there is no cheating by exam questions leaving the room. I missed questions and went back and was easy to see which questions I missed
Good luck to everyone sitting this time, remember take some deep breaths try to relax and think positive. You know the stuff and don't read too much into the question
No blank paper for the exam.
Make sure you're well rested for exam everyone and once again review in your mind that how you would like to approach it. Watch your time, time and time. Read the questions once but read them carefully.
Remember to come back here and share your experiences once the exam is done.
Good luck.
Hello all! I am also writing my exam June 1st. Im terrified. I havent crammed but I have completed the Mosby's guide and the CNA prep guide and did very well. I found they helped me a lot in regards to how to answer the questions. I cannot cram much as people in my class have been doing but I have been doing questions and reading with accordance to what my weaknesses seem to be according to the prep guides. I wasn't stressed out, but now with 2 days away..my anxiety is through the roof. I feel as though I haven't studied although I have. There's just too much. Does it seem like I've taken the proper measures in studying? Is there anything else I can do?
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ON JUNE 1ST! Let's show them a passing rate they've never seen.
Ughhh.. god, I'm nervous. I just want this over with! I've been reviewing materials, my mosby's guides and borrowed my friends CNA book as well as the Linpincott's CD. I've been reviewing for weeeeeeeeeeks! I hope everything goes well on Wednesday and I wish everyone good luck!
By the way.. I remember asking some of my prof's about the people who failed (there were only three last year out of a graduating class of over 300 at my University) and the people who usually failed were those that were always border line in their grades and would always barely pass exams.. so.. hopefully that's a little more reassuring for the people who usually do fairly well in tests.
Yes if you have done consistently well all the way through AND you can manage your nerves and time during the exam, you should be fine. For many people who are unsuccessful, time was/is the factor. They often try to rush too much or get caught up and waste too much time. It isn't because the knowledge is lacking. Just stay calm and focused. I went in feeling confident and took a washroom break and still finished with 10 minutes to spare.

Hi guys..
I know.. June 1st is coming and I am somewhat anxious but I am not letting my anxiety eat me.. Just trying to relax and thinking positive!
Anyway, I did not purchase the online readiness test since I have 3 past CRNE prep guides that I think I have repeated almost twice to really absorb the way they format the questions in the CRNE. I am enough with the theories, and also currently reading the CRNE competencies. I am just hoping for the best.. And praying to God that He will guide me on the day of the exam. Any more tips and words of encouragement guys? Thanks! And God bless us all.
