  1. Try to contact agency that can give you a work as a caregiver. Ask them, if possible to give you an assignment in a hospital.
  2. I am happy that I was given a chance to have fulltime position in a hospital in Quebec. Until I realized that I am only getting 58% of my salary. 42% of which is my deductions like federal tax, provincial tax, medical, pension, union and other benefits. I am just wondering about other nurses who work in other provinces of Canada, especially Alberta, how much total deductions you have there..... Thanks in advance
  3. You can work under temporary RN license renewable every year for 4 years as long as you will take OQLF exam (french exam).
  4. Hi iamdi! Our BSN is not equivalent to the BSN in Ontario. However, CNO will give you options like bridging program or answering BET to meet their requirements.Try to go over the package they sent you, though,I know its a lot of papers, you have to understand the content. I am now an RN in Ontario. I transferred my license here in Quebec, now I am working as a temporary RN (pending because I still need to pass french exam). Currently holding a Nurse Clinician position in a hospital. All my diplomas are from our country.
  5. So, by the year 2015, CRNE will not exist.-according to CNA President http://m.youtube.com/#/profile?autoplay=True&bmb=1&channel_id=0&desktop_uri=%2Fuser%2FCNAVideos%3Ffeature%3Dmhee&feature=mhee&gl=CA&help=False&livestreaming_tutorial=False&start=0&tab=&user=CNAVideos&v=f0unECD_884&view=videos&ytsession=%7B%7D
  6. I passed NCLEX-RN and CRNE, these exams evaluate nurses in a different and unique ways. My questions are: First, how can this happen without CNA or their provincial counterparts be involved in the decision making? Second, how can Nurses stand up for Canadian nursing? Follow the link below for more details. http://www.cna-aiic.ca/CNA/news/releases/public_release_e.aspx?id=306
  7. Hi miasat! Just want to ask if you also asked for an evaluation of your credentials and comply to other requirements, like IELTS, of the College of Nurses of Manitoba. Thanks in advance.

  11. I finished BS Medical Technology(BSMT) prior to my BSN. I did not submit verification of course completion and transcript request from the school where I attended my BSMT. CNO only requested subject description of all the degree that I finished, since some of my subjects from BSMT were credited to my BSN. Hope this information help;)

  13. Hi kanebo! There are lots of applicants from the Philippines who only have BSN(then answered BET), but became eligible to take CRNE. I hope yours will come soon.
