Hello everyone,
I realize when I had to write my nursing exam how much pressure I experienced about the whole thing. I wrote mine in June 2010 and passed in first attempt but still remember when I walked out the exam, I was not sure what would be the result.
The purpose of this thread is supporting those nursing students who are planning to write their CRNE in upcoming June. Students, please feel free to share your concerns and questions. Nurses please support those students with tips for study.
Just couple of reminders before we get started:
1. Please do not discuss specific questions or any content tested in CRNE.
2. Please read other threads for more information as well. Other threads give you valuable information and be smart and take them into your advantage.
3. Please stay on topic.
4. Please use proper grammar and spelling.
Thank you all.
Hello!Im hust wondering if questions on CRNE might be repeated each year?Ive failed february exam and pretty much know my weakness...Someone here pass exam on the second attempt...does question repeat itself?what about cases?Thank you
I seriously doubt questions will be repeated from year to year
I would also strongly recommend that you fill in the scan tron as go along as you may not have time at the end of the exam to copy it over from the test booklet. What I did was circle the answer on the booklet, put it into the scan tron. If I really did not know the answer, I put a question mark beside the question, if I was sort of uncertain I put a small star. That way when I went back at the end, I wasn't trying to find the questions that I wanted to double check.
Hey everyone
Almost at the end of the tunnel!
I've noticed that there are alot of people on this forum who have already written the CRNE. I have a question--Did you find that the CNA prep guide and CanleaRN practice questions were EXACTLY the type of questions that you saw on the exam, or were you still a bit surprised on exam day? I ask because I've talked to a few people who say that they exam they wrote was quite different compared to the CNA practice questions. I kinda find this hard to believe so I wanted a few more opinions.
For my studying I am using the CNA guide (old and new version), the Canlearn practice questions and my freshnurse materials.
Thanks!
Best of luck to all who are preparing for crne june 2011....
Frens I have cleared the CRNE feb 2011 recently....and I can understand the stress and tension developing as the exam days come near what i can tell u of my experience is that exam pattern of nclex and crne is different....crne has more of situational , psychosocial questions so practice Crne questions exclusively. Another very important thing is the time factor and concentration while giving exams......just pace ur time according to questions coz i know of one of my fren who couldnt finish in time and just rushed in for last 20 questions. and ya just focus on questions n answer......
Hope u all wud do well.............relax and study for now...........:)
please refresh your memory of the first post from akardan on this thread:

Hello everyone,
I'm taking the exam June 1 as well (in a few days!) and I'm very anxious and very nervous. I was talking to someone who took the CRNE several months back and they did not pass. They were outraged and stated that the CRNE prep guide (5th ed.) was not helpful, it didn't help her prepare for the difficulty of the exam, so on and so forth. It doesn't help being around someone so negative, but in all honesty, she got me panicked.
Our instructor had told us that if we can achieve 85% on the online readiness exam or the prep guide, we know we are ready for the CRNE. Any thoughts on this? How do you gauge your readiness based on the mock exams?
I'm sooooo anxious! June 1 is looming near!
I personally got 81% on online exam and passed the CRNE as well. All I can say is, as multiple times were mentioned here and in other threads, apply your nursing knowledge, logic, and ABC and consider patients' safety to all situation. Nursing is nothing but rational and critical thinking. Stay positive and instead think of a good strategy that's been helpful fir you so far and apply it 100% to your exam. And remebet if you passed four years of nursing school with all ups and downs, you CAN pass this one too. Stay positive guys.

Time mgmt is ESSENTIAL. Move on after 1 to 2 min if you don't know. Pick the best nursing answer. You also won't likely have time to go back, so think about the answer, choose one, move on. Most people screw themselves because of the time. I kept track every 15 to 30 min. There will also likely be calculations, so practice them, too. You need to be able to figure those out quickly.
