Hello!! I am a graduate student at the University of Texas. I am working on a project exploring nurses' behaviors and perceptions regarding wound care and would really love all the help I could get! It's a super short survey, I promise. Thank you!

I would be very careful about using this survey format as part of your research. Because AN is anonymous, you have no way of knowing if those who respond are truly nurses, nursing students, nurse wannabes who haven't even started school, or Joe Schmoe who likes to mess with people on the internet. This means that your survey and thus any conclusions extrapolated from the data have very little if any validity. Better avenues to take would be to look into the possibility of doing a hospital wide email to nurses at the facility where you work or any facility in your area.
Thank you! I totally appreciate the feedback! I agree that there is a risk involved with using online forums for data collection. Unfortunately, I only have data from local hospitals and would like more info from nurses across the country. I should also mention that the survey generator I used has some checks to help me filter out "fake" data. I was worried that if I cold-email my survey out to hospitals and nursing staff, it would be a nuisance or get filtered out as spam.

Apparently only inpatient nurses have opinions regarding wound care...

Maybe she realizes that home health nurses have already cornered the market on wound care?

Is this another "evidence based" initiative? I'm assuming that a new checklist will follow, ensuring compliance, thus saving millions of lives yearly!
