Hi everyone, 

I haven't seen any thread for the SUNY Downstate ABSN program for the Fall 2024 start so I thought so here's one for anyone applying/attending/etc!

Also, I met the TEAS required scores for math and reading, but I was 0.5% short of the recommended score for science. Will update as I get further decisions but it doesn't seem like it completely disqualified me!

Online! It's on zoom, and its tomorrow so I'm pretty nervous haha. 

 

I submitted my application on the 31st, so the last day before the deadline was extended.

Hi everyone! I just applied online recently, fingers crossed. I went to their recent open house and they were all very bubbly and open. Would love to attend, best of luck to everyone!

For those that applied, did you purchase an ATI TEAS transcript to send directly to Downstate or did you simply attach the PDF of the exam report to your application? I just put the PDF, but I'm not sure if both are needed. Just trying to avoid buying more ATI TEAS transcripts since each is like $30+

Hi everyone! I applied to SUNY Downstate's ABSN program, and it was completely submitted by 1/31. I just did my interview yesterday morning (2/14). Does anyone have any idea of when I'll hear back about an acceptance or rejection? Good luck to everyone!

@caitlinwolf62 from what I've seen on other years allnurses downstate pages, usually it's the day after the interview or the few to follow. Maybe someone who already got accepted this 2024 class could touch upon this! How was the interview for you?

Good to know! Thank you. The interview went well I think. It isn't anything too challenging. I just tried to show my personality and explain more about myself!

@caitlinwolf62 if you don't mind me asking, was it group interviews or one on one? I've read abt people doing group interviews a few years ago. I've heard that the director is super approachable so all good things ? best of luck!
