Hey Everyone!

I figured I should start a new thread for the upcoming round of decisions. How are you all feeling? What are your backgrounds? Have you applied to other schools? My application is in the review progress, so my fingers are crossed and hopes are high!

Hi All found this while searching around about SUNY Downstate. i also am waiting for replies from them as well. Figured id join in on the experiences being that some may be classmates in the coming months!!

I don't think the deposit part on the checklist should have a link. I mean, why would it? You can only pay by check or money order. As for admissions moving their office, that is true. I've been at downstate 3 times within the past couple of weeks. They just recently moved to another building and 5 flights up. It looked as if they were still moving things in but i guess basic operations were fine.

How many have already heard from the program?? I'm losing my mind , they seem clueless when i call.

I would guess about half of the seats by now at least. Some people don't go online and on forums so a guesstimate is the only choice.

@Draf77 My information about the deposit link comes from last years message thread. Those who were accepted said that they had a link on their list for deposit as well as background check.

Did anyone get a link for their deposit form this year or only last year?

@cherryhead81: So there's a line item "background check" or do you mean all the different line items such at "us citizen" etc...

@syrezi I am actually not sure. On the thread form last year people kept referring to a background check on the list. I have the citizenship thing but nothing about a background check.

Can someone who has been accepted do us a favor and clarify if you have a link to deposit and if there is an additional part about background check?? THANK YOU!

Was accepted. I didn't get a deposit link, but the information about sending the acceptance response letter, deposit payment, and the URL for the background check were included in the packet that was sent by UPS.

Maybe the reason why the checklists are active means that you're put on the waitlist? Sorry, these are all guesses here too.

Have you looked at the site where you paid the application fee? That is the site that we are referring to. We are wondering what the checklist looks like for someone who has been accepted.

That's the site that I also was referring to. My checklist has items checked off (with a green check) since I've completed those items already, such as the deposit, background check, and health forms.
