SUNY Downstate Accelerated BSN Program 2014-2015

Hey Everyone!

I figured I should start a new thread for the upcoming round of decisions. How are you all feeling? What are your backgrounds? Have you applied to other schools? My application is in the review progress, so my fingers are crossed and hopes are high!

The lack of communication and help from admissions has really changed my opinion of and desire to go to the school. They don't seem like they value us as applicants and possible students or have any desire to get us through the process smoothly. I decided to accept an offer from a different school in nyc. Even though the price is significantly different, I will be able to continue living with my parents and commute when I would have had to move in order to attend downstate.

Regardless, best of luck to everyone ! If I ever hear from downstate and find out whether or not I was accepted, I will let you guys know

Hey guys!! I was also accepted into the program! Congrats to you guys!! I was wondering if anyone was thinking about dorming? I live in queens and know the program is hectic so I'm worried about the commute and stuff. Just wanna know what other people are thinking about doing lol :)

So my checklist changed (the site where we paid the processing fee) did anyone else's?

My checklist also changed, does anyone know what that means? It says "Accepted/Alternate List Accelerated Nursing Checklist"

For the people that got in- did your checklist have a link to pay the deposit or just a the word deposit written?

Mine changed too. I have the "Accepted/Alternate List Accelerated Nursing Checklist" and a health checklist.

Does your checklist have a box for deposit and acceptance response form?

It does list all of that. However, I think it means waitlist because there is no link to click on. According the last year's msg boards, the people that were accepted had a link to those sections.

For those who received a WRITTEN wait list decision, did your check list also change to include a deposit line item WITHOUT a link?

Thanks!! I recieved an email on March 6th and then I got a package in the mail a week and a half later!
