Hello Everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for the 2018-2019 program at downstate? Hoping we can all loop each other in on the status.

I was placed on the alternate list for Downstate and today I received an email from admissions asking me to submit proof of citizenship and health forms in order to maintain my application active. Has anyone else received this email as well? Is this good news? I'm freaking out lol!!!

Hey, it's a generic email they send to everyone during this time of the year to all ppl on the alternate list. Good luck to all the ppl on the AL waiting to get in.

No, not yet at least. I have read in previous threads that they start calling people from the wait list around end of April-beginning of May. We should be hearing something soon, I hope. Waiting is making me NERVOUS...

Those of you on the alternate list, has anyone heard anything from the school? Has anyone called admissions for an update? There are just 2 weeks left for classes to start.. Have they even started calling anyone from the list??

I emailed them last week and was told that applicants on the Alternate List "May" here back up until the day of Orientation.

Hi everyone,

Are your health forms on the Admissions Checklist shown as completed yet?? I submitted my forms 2-3 weeks ago and it still says incomplete. I'm also on the waitlist. Does anyone know if Downstate accepts students even if their health forms haven't been cleared yet?

It is best to have everything completed on the checklist. You should email student health and let them know that you have sent everything to them 2 weeks ago and also ask if they need any additional documents from you. Then keeping checking your checklist to see if there is an update. my checklist is almost complete, they just asked me resubmit another document which i did today. Best of luck!!
