Suny downstate absn 2018-2019

Hello Everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone out there applied for the 2018-2019 program at downstate? Hoping we can all loop each other in on the status.

I have a question for anyone who has gone through the interview process: how soon after getting interviewed did you receive their decision? Also how was your experience of the interview? I'm kind of excited and nervous, mostly excited.

How long was the wait from doing your interview to receiving a decision letter? Dr. Carr said a few weeks but I just wanted to know a specific time, I'm pretty impatient!

Hey all

I was in the first interview group and unfortunately got placed on the alternate list :(

Not so happy about it but i'm hopeful.

The way that I noticed they do it is ....

they send out all acceptances on the same day.

Alternate lists the day after

and rejections a few days after that.

Also my interview was the first week of December and I received my alternate list decision on the 22nd of December.

Was anyone else placed on the waitlist?

I interviewed on Dec 14th, I was told I would hear back this week, and I heard back on December 21st. I think they don't want a bunch of people call to follow up. And I already posted about my interview experience.

Hello all . New to the thread. Will be interviewing soon this upcoming class. I was wondering what all of you have heard about the faculty. I'm sure all of you know about Ratemyprofessor.com. Almost none of the faculty are on the website. Find this to be rather unusual. Did they recently do an overhaul of the department? Any thoughts from the ppl who recently interviewed on how their interview went. Lastly, would any of you be commuting from Long Island? Thank you for your insights....

I was finally called for an interview today at 4pm!! I'm so excited, they finally got to me since I submitted around 11/20 haha. I think I'm part of the last round since admissions decisions are finalized December/January. Anyone going in for interviews 1/25?
