Haven't seen any forums yet on the SUNY Downstate ABSN 2017-2018 class. Has anyone applied?? Or heard from them already?

my application was final in early october.

I just noticed my checklist today. It seems to be ok. For the health forms is that specific forms from downstate? Seems like a lot for some reason

Hey.

3.94 undergrad gpa

3.8 pre-req gpa

(Finishing a&p2 and anthropogy now, English and dev psych via clep in a few weeks, and stats either winter or spring)

99th percentile overall teas

91.5 reading

100 Math

Please keep posting when you get accepted with your details. I'm curious to see if there's any rhyme or reason to their acceptance.

Still waiting to hear. After dialoguing with admissions via email, status changed to "forwarded to committee."

Also applied to Colombia (GRE was a pain), but Suny is my first choice- it's1/8 of the price and in Brooklyn where I live.

To those still waiting here is my info (sorry can't remember posting or not):

GPA 3.2 from first BS but higher with pre req ( maybe 3.3 or 3.4)

pre req gpa is 3.6-3.7 range

Also have 12 MSW grad credits with 4.0 gpa (not sure how it counts)

TEAS: reading 83 and math 93

I submitted application early August but it wasn't reviewed until mid September since I needed to take teas. I had no outstanding pre req.

Did your status ever changed to 'faculty screener' or something? I've read in past forums that the application status changes to something like that.

Kooki my status never changed and I checked often (every few days). Once they had a decision I received an email and I saw my status changed saying application was sent back to admissions with decision. No "faculty screener" or anything like that. Hope that was helpful

Ok thanks careerchanger! That actually was helpful. At least I won't have the urge to constantly check for my status now. Haha
