Haven't seen any forums yet on the SUNY Downstate ABSN 2017-2018 class. Has anyone applied?? Or heard from them already?

Hi @encoremb just wondering when did you apply and when did you hear back from down state. I applied early sept still haven't heard back yet.... this waiting is driving my crazy. I need to adjust my work

Applied end of Nov, got decision mid-december.

The earliest responses were in Dec so don't stress.

Honestly it depends on the type of learner you are. This program is not going to hold your hand. Some teachers are more empathetic, some less.

After summer semester you can definitely hold down a full or part time job, as all you really have to physically be on site for is a 1 half day of class, and one full day of clinicals weekly (once in a while anther half day Friday)

Does anyone know if Downstate accepts Math 104 (Mathematics for Health Sciences) from BMCC to satisfy their math requirement? I've heard different answers on this. Thanks!

I would contact Downstate or attend an open house to confirm that information.

Anyone out there get accepted to downstate accelerated program with a 4.0 gpa and only high 80s score for each section of TEAS test? I average high 80s on each section. Not sure if u must get in the 90s.
