Tweety glad you're better. I agree, waiting for it to heal before surgery is odd
NJ22 I wouldn't worry about 1 beer
Stars we had storms a few days ago but recently has been fairly dry
Was a fairly nice day yesterday. Did some bird watching. Didn't see that many birds, but did see a bunch of prairie plants I haven't seen before. I like to identify the plants as well as the birds that I see
Had lunch with dad, he has a smaller SUV now, feels it's easier to handle and less technologically complex than the bigger one he had previously
Did the cooking...well not actually cooking, just made a Mediterranian salad to go with hummus and pita bread. The original recipe had the hummus used to make a kind of fritter, but that was too complicated and I already had the pita bread as a substitute
Talked with J, he's still not feeling well...tired, headache, chills. He missed some medication doses again, so he said he was going to take his evening and morning meds and see how he feels. Just to be safe we're just going to do the musical and skip lunch out. I'm going to recommend he consider getting the pharmacy to set up his meds for him, which I think will improve compliance. I suspect now that he's fully retired and going out less due to the pandemic, there's less structure and it's easier for him to forget meds
Will do the laundry this morning before church.
Will be in the 80s today, rain should hold off until Mon

Good morning!
Joe, "tired, headache, chills" are the symptoms I had with covid. Just sayin'. The chills also turned into a fever. Strange that missing medications would set off these kinds of symptoms. I hope he feels better and you get to go to the play.
Stars, my computer is connected to a surge protector so I tend ignore thunderstorms which occur often this time of year around here.
For the third night in a row I had insomnia in the wee hours. The last two nights I didn't take anything because it makes me too groggy and don't want to get into that habit. I'm still taking Trazodone and it's helpful but doesn't last. I have an appointment with my doctor in a few weeks and we always talk about my insomnia.
I cooked some myself yesterday, making some side dishes because I have plenty of lentil noodle soup to eat. My appetite is off since I got covid. Maybe because I haven't worked out much. I've lost four pounds and don't want to lose any more.
Sounds like I'm a mess but I'm mostly okay. LOL
Started watching the series "Bridgerton" on Netflix. I'm enjoying it. There are two seasons so far and it's been renewed so far for two more. Apparently Season 2 was the most watched English language series on Netflix ever until Stranger Things season 4. Now you know.
I'm having an issue with Amazon. My account is locked. When you try to chat with someone they want you to log into your account. They don't publish a number to call them direct, but I found in on AARP's site. Weird. Hopefully they can resolve it. I wouldn't care but I'm a Prime member and use it to watch movies. Plus I buy a boatload of stuff from it.
Not much going on today. Will venture out to health food store and pick up a few things. Sometimes they have a sour dough bread I like.

We’re suiting the Museum of Flight in Seattle, where it is 92 degrees. I had to come down for a cat scan this morning so dh and youngest ds came too. Will post more later.

Trip to grocery store, and also mailed a DVD of The Chosen to my sister.
Then prepared a "Southern Sweet Onion Casserole." It's different from an onion pie recipe I made many years ago, in the microwave. The old recipe (which I just re-discovered, in an old microwave cookbook) calls for saltine crackers and butter as the crust, and swiss cheese with the onions. This newer recipe calls for sweet onions (4!!), which are par-boiled then drained, and mixed with Ritz cracker crumbs, butter, and cheddar cheese. Whisk evaporated milk and eggs, and pour over, and then bake. We will eat it as soon as it cools down.
It's 92 today, humidity 28% (but feels muggier than that!). Kinda cloudy today and yesterday, and ppl reported rain in the mountains. Wish it would come down here, but am happy the mountains are getting it. I guess Arizona is getting their monsoon season, this might be the tail end of that weather.
Tweety, good you are feeling better! Hope the situation with Amazon straightens out, what a pain (especially since you use it so much!).
nursej22, yes, fill us in on your sight-seeing, please!
Joe, sorry to hear J isn't feeling well. Good you got to see your dad, and that he has a car he is comfortable driving.
Have a good evening!

Did the laundry yesterday. No rain today.
Last night I forgot I was taking my PM meds at two different times. Well, I had taken the pain and arthritis meds, but forgot the sleeping med and muscle relaxer (a PRN)....so, about 2 :30 I'm wondering WHY I am so awake. Duh! I finally found the pills I had set aside and took them, Naturally when I woke up today I was groggy for a couple of hours. Now that it is time to go to bed, I'm pretty awake....so I am NOT going to forget to take the 2nd half of the PM meds. In fact I'll swaller'em down right now! (There ya go, now. What a GOOD girl!)
It was another hot day. We watched the Braves win today's game this afternoon. Nothing much exciting going on, thank goodness! Have to refill the mediset for Nannie's meds. After that, I'll read.
