Wohoooo! So happy for you! A diploma well earned!

Here's a great big grin for ya. Darn, can find one of those smiley things with a big silly grin.

Being in the midst of torture now, I know from whence you came.

Congrats!!

So happy for you! Your posts have been a godsend. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement. Please help to keep us sane!

Thanks everyone. I plan to stick around and root you all to the finish line. Like Cincinursemary, I had a LOT of classes to take. Celebrate your accomplishments and know that your hard work now will be worth it. Good luck everyone!

I also received my diploma yesterday. Good luck to everyone still in the program.

How long did it take you and how many classes did you take a semester? Just wondering.

Congrats also !

I started in the quarter system in May 2011. I only took one nursing class the first time since I had been out of school over 30 years. I got brave and doubled up a nursing class and a non-nursing class most of the rest of the time. I took a break the second summer with the Q to S transition because I was losing steam. The Q to S transition messed up some of my plans because the nursing courses were thrown off and not offered when I needed them. I was forced to take the companion class to the combined classes to avoid taking the whole class over. I believe I ended up taking 11 of the original 12 nursing classes which are now only 9. I only did 2 nursing classes together once. I work full time and have a family but wanted to be done before vacation this summer. I believe I took a total of 20 classes.

My degree did not bring a raise with it or make any difference in my current job status. What it did do was give me personal satisfaction and potentially some job security. That was worth the 2 years and 3 months of torture! ;-)

I also received my diploma yesterday. Good luck to everyone still in the program.

Yay! It's real now! Congratulations!

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Got mine too!! Woohoo!

After several false starts and numerous dead ends, and nearly a year after I finished my last class, my diploma finally turned up too.

Thanks OU - see ya.
