Nice of you to ask. :)
My experience has been great so far. I've completed the summer session courses and am resuming the program this fall. I have my first clinicals then as well. Just trying to keep my grades up there and learn as much as I can.
Remember, your grades and performance are not based on luck or divine intervention. This is you. Take a lot of time to study (1-2 hrs per day), own your material, be the nurse you would want for yourself!
Hi, welcome future nurse!
The first quarter will be hectic because the adjustment of taking in more work than other reg. college classes. I had 4 exam every wk and to read 8 chapter/wk. No joke and having to answer q's within 1.3/ minute;it was insane. I thought I couldn't have made it but I did:nurse:
Do not cram, always ask for help, know your lab values and A & P, prepare to dedicate time for studying, and be organize.
I had to teach 80% of the content to myself, our instructor are busy. I don't blame them. We started with 66 students and end up with 47. Sadly, not enough instructor.
If I had trouble , I usually just "you tube" it and I find it more helpful.
I hope this tip helps and I wish you the best of luck!
Hi all!
I will start Aug 19, I just found out Friday that I was accepted. so I have 13 days to get everything ready! Im super excited but freaking out about my books. I was not planning on school this year so I have no money to buy $1000 give or take of textbooks. I will talk to financial aid tomorrow (monday) and hopefully will be able to get a student loan and books ordered! I already did my FAFSA in February but I know it can take 2 weeks to get books! Good luck!

Can't you just buy your first semester books for now? I got mine on amazon and half dot com. Saved a ton of money. Just for two classes I have five texts/DVDs.
Had orenitation on Monday and it went well! We got our books, teacher introduction, giving calendars, reading and hw assignments.....we had about 15-20 students. We didn't have class yesterday, but will tonight. Seems to be a very open and helpful environment.
I feel positive about the chose i've made and think I will succeed!
Best of luck to all! Share your experiences
We aren't having orientation, I guess we are just diving in on the first day of class! (Aug 14) I got my physical and chest xray (previous positive ppd) yesterday, and all of my records and paperwork are ready to go. I am excited to get started! I look forward to reading how everyone is progressing!
