Personally I am glad this rule is being implemented. I have requested a different nurse before because the one I had reeked of cigarette smoke. Like other posters have stated, if you dont like the rule, don't work there. Or quit smoking.

My thoughts. Also, are you aware that marijuana can be laced with other drugs, cocaine, etc., that can form addiction after one use?

And the odds of re-admission, even if you pop clean the next time will be slim to none!

I'm in a vocational/career tech school (also attended a community college in the past) and so far I am liking the votech much more. It may just be a difference in the instructors style of teaching but the school is approved and has a very good track record. Can you contact the school to see if they can give you an idea of their graduation and state board rates?

Does your instructor use power points, or are you just taking notes as the instructor speaks? If it is power points, ask the instructor if you can have a print off of them. Or if it is only a verbal lecture I would do like the PP suggested and use a recording device.

So I am being a good little nurse student and studying on Labor Day weekend.... Reading through the chapter I've come upon clinical and biological death. Is there a difference? Both are pretty much defined the same in my book (cessation of vital functions of the body).
