Okay I have searched far and wide to find a topic relating to this but have only found older ones... I mean come on guys the world isn't really going to end December 2012. So here's to the 2012 application cycle!
I have a ton of questions for those who are applying and those who have applied and those who are in the program. Any and all input will be much appreciated. Also just so you know, I will be attending the October 1st open house.
If I were to describe myself, I would say grade-wise I am not the strongest candidate for JHU's nursing program as it is considered top in the nation. HOWEVER I have great experience and recommendations to cancel that out. I am also trying really really hard to make those essays seem great but only 300 words?
So to anyone reading this post, what do you think I can do to make myself a stronger applicant?
Relating to specifically JHU, I have heard a million different things about their program. From "it really sucks and is not worth it" to "best program EVER". JHU is supposed to be a school that is the leader in research and also has a global perspective. Can anyone else tell me what is so special about JHU's nursing program? What is your personal experience with it?
As far as location and campus, I think it doesn't matter as long as the educational program is incredible.

Well unfortunately I wasn't able to make the chat yesterday because of work but was anyone else able to talk? I'm really sad I didn't get to because I'm sure they would have given more information about what has happened in the application process so far.
Ah well... cnd I'm with you, ED and all my eggs in one basket.
I won't be surprised if no one find out today either. I'm betting its all next week or even later. Last year some people found out as late as the 23rd for early decision!
I just applied for two schools. JHU and WesternU in CA. Western does not even do interviews until Jan/Feb and I don't think they interview everyone. I am hoping to hear something from JHU as soon as January.
Shopping is definitely on my mind, much more than my final exam on tuesday -_- but much less than those phone calls from JHU!
Anyway, what does everyone do for a living right now? lol. I am a part time student and I teach piano privately. Very excited about the holiday recital coming up :)
MarwaT and cnd29~ I definitely have all my eggs in one basket too. I did that for my undergraduate and got accepted with great scholarship! Hopefully, this tactic works again for all of us!
This is the week guys! I'm keeping myself patient by assuming that acceptances are done later rather than sooner. I'm really sad my phone number changed though so I don't know if I'll get a phone call or not. Emails terrify me though because I'm pretty sure we'll find out that way too.
This is definitely very nerve wracking. I wished my last final today and I was hoping maybe I will receive a call today? It's almost 3 PM PST...so the office is probably closed. Maybe tomorrow? I'm just praying!
Has any one heard back yet? I feel like some people did...it's already the 13th!
Hi everyone! I got a phone call this evening saying that I was accepted to the ABSN/MSN in pediatrics track! I can't wait to meet some of my fellow classmates :)

Congrats aedeunger! I was hoping someone would come in with an acceptance! I'm really happy for you. What was the phone call like? Also where are you from?
