Go back to your school of nursing and ask for assistance in preparing for your re-take. You are not the first student they've had who has failed NCLEX, you won't be their last, and they have a vested interest in seeing you pass this exam on your next try, as your scores will affect their pass rate.
There are faculty members who are experts in test preparation, who would probably be willing to "coach" you on how to prepare and what to study.
Best of luck to you!
I am in the exact same boat as you are except I opted not to be a tech everyone on my unit knew I took the NCLEX and I actually started with several of my classmates I just couldn't do it that and @ the current time there are no available shifts for a day tech... anyway my manager was so kind about the whole thing now comes the waiting I just have to prepare to take this dang NCLEX again and I am not sure what to do differently???? I am totally devastated I didn't pass:( Hopefully next time we both will! Good luck!!!
arrgh! i'm still just so frustrated. I went to school for four years and worked my butt off and I have to go back to working as an aid because I didn't pass one stupid test. I set to retake mine in the middle of August so at least it isn't too too long.
Anyways, I heard there is a good website with lots of sample questions that you have to pay $50 for, but it is really helpful. Does anybody know what the website is?
Good luck to you Izsqueen. I've heard that I'm not alone, but its good to hear from somebody else to know that I am not alone.

try to check http://www.learningext.com this website is sponsored by the NCSBN, you may choose variety of scheds (3 wks, 5 wks or 8 wks) that fits your needs... good luck.
Keep going to work, you've made it this far, right? it's not like you didn't pass a nursing class, & have to wait out another year, right? my best friend once told me, things happen for a reason. Atleast you got a job & a very understanding manager. Just keep doing questions, & try to reschedule as soon as you can.
I'm in the same boat u r in, so I can truely say, I know how you feel! I have this job in the business office where I have to watch all my fellow classmates, who pass their boards, come in a clock in and out! They all are complaining about which floors that got in front of me and I'm think, "Just be happy you have a floor to work on as an RN!!"
Just hang in there, study alittle everyday, pray about it, and put it in God's hands! And be strong!!!:pumpiron:

HI-
so I took the NCLEX this past Monday, just found out I failed. I had 80 questions...almost all communication, delegation, and prioritizing. I studied my butt off, went through a whole review book, studied with a friend, and took a review class. I had 80 questions and thought I passed. I'm in shock that I didn't pass and have no idea what to do differently for the next text. I had already started my orientation at a job and have to work as an aid until I pass, which sucks. I was always a good student and I worked so hard to prepare. I don't know what to do differently to pass next and I'm really stressed about it. My manager told me to take the week off, but I am really embarassed to go back to work. I have no desire to go back to working as an aid, but I think I have no choice because I need the insurance and cash. Sorry to go on and on about this, but I literally don't know what to do and in suck a state of shock right now. Any advice would be very helpful.
