Hi there everyone! Starting this thread a little early, I just applied today and very anxious. 81.3 on TEAS and 74.75 on rubric. Probably not the highest but hoping it’s enough to get in! Just curious what other peoples stats/ TEAS/ rubric scores are to those who don’t mind sharing! Good luck to everyone applying!! ?
Third time applying to Suffolk and FINALLY got an acceptance email. Too bad I’m already in farmingdale now ?. So crazy to think I literally applied with the same TEAS score and same grades/GPA and got rejected last time and accepted this time. It’s all because of that dumb rule with the rubric that if you retake the TEAS x2 in 12 months you get 2 points deducted from your rubric. It was 14 months since I first took my TEAS when I applied for Fall 2022 so that attempt expired and I got those 2 points back. To whoever didn’t get an email yet DO NOT FRET OR GET ANXIOUS. since there’s people like me who aren’t accepting my seat, they will do a second (and possibly even third wave) of acceptances probably next week after March 11th when the deposits are due. They will then be able to fill seats that are leftover from those who rejected their seat. Congratulations to everyone who got in and keep your heads high for all who didn’t hear yet! And for those who end up not getting in it took me three tries so don’t feel bad! Just keep trying!
Hey everyone! I wanted to get on here and ask anyone if they knows the schedule of the nursing program. I have fulfilled all general education classes within the curriculum, but I was wondering if anyone knew when the class “fundamentals of nursing for registered nurses, NUR102” takes place. Is it everyday? How long is it? Stuff like that. I am just trying to get an idea of what my schedule will look like, as I work a full time job, and need to see how work will interfere with this program. Thank you!

If you're already a suffolk student, you can log in & view the class schedules from last year just sign into your account and check course availability for nur102 for fall 2021 to give you an idea

The professors recommend to cut back on your hours. Between lecture, clinical, and lab, you will be spending a majority of your time studying. It is easy to fall behind. I still work but I don't work nearly as much as I did before starting the program.

Also, if there's a recurrent pattern of poor exam grades, when you meet with the professor, they will ask you if you're working and how many hours per week that you work. Depending on what you tell them, they will tell you to cut back on your hours. For fundamentals which you all will be taking in the fall, you will be on campus either 3 or 4 days of the week; lab is 3 hours, lecture is a combined 3 hours for the week, and clinical is close to 8 hours. It's all about finding a balance. I know nursing school isn't exactly cheap especially when you start purchasing books and the program for online homework, so I recommended that you work as much as you can up until the program starts

Thank you for responding! Are you in the program currently?

Congrats! I've seen your other posts for Nassau application for 2022 Spring. I'm applying for NCC 2022 Fall now. I wonder if you can share your points when you applied for NCC. My total point is 133 now, and I'm not sure I can get in. Thanks!
