Starting the thread for those anxious applicants trying to get a read on this year's pool of candidates...
So who is willing to post what they've scored?
Here's mine:
A&P 1: A
A&P 2: B+
Eng 1: A
Eng 2: B+
Micro: ___
Psych: A
Stats: C- (blah!)
TEAS: 78
Not particularly found of the revision to the rubric.
So what are you holding???
I applied for spring 18 as well, ammerman as first choice. I did ask the someone from the nursing department if it was easier or harder to get into the spring and she said it's about the same..less people apply and a lot less get accepted.
My grades are:
Ap1- B
Ap2- B
Eng 102- B+
Psy 101- B+
History- A
stats- A
Teas- 90% (English 83.3%, Math 96.9%, Science 83.3% and Reading 95.8%)
I believe I have about an 80 on the rubric.
unfortunately, having a bachelors won't give you any more points (I went for my bachelors in teaching), but it's just those pre reqs and the teas that count toward your overall rubric score.
I hope you all get in! I was just talking with a woman I know who taught in the nursing program at Suffolk and she mentioned to me that they don't weigh our previous degrees into their decision, nor do they weight any previous health care experience. That is strange to me. The fact that you are coming with a B.S. degree or a Masters should count for a lot! I hear it's about 75% TEAS score and the remainder is based off of the rubric points you get for the prerequisite courses.
I didn't do so well on the TEAS I only got a 66.3 :[ but I only took it once which I know is 2 points and I already took A&P1, psyc, English 101 & 102, history & statistics. I pray I get in but if not I am taking A&P2 this semester then I will retake the teas in December. I feel like I would have done so much better on the TEAS if I would have taken it after A&P2. :[
It's interesting to me that they don't consider any healthcare experience and there wasn't even an option to upload a resume on the application. If the program is seeking the most qualified candidates that will eventually complete the program and pass the NCLEX to make the school's passing rate as high as possible, you'd think they would want a well-rounded candidate that they know is going to succeed.

do you by any chance know if the evening program is any easier to get into? I applied for each campus but only scored 38 on the rubric so I am a little nervous =[
