  1. How many people applied for LPN-RN program and how many are just straight up RN?

5 members have participated

So I'm not sure how many people apply to the Spring Program at Suffolk but wanted a spot for us to talk and compare our grades and just have each others back through the process! Feel free to just say what you're feeling and your grades! Good luck to everyone!!!

I'm 33 and I've been an LPN for far longer than I'd like to admit. I screwed up about a decade ago trying to get "pre reqs" done and basically spent the past 4 semesters busting my butt to get A's in classes I've already taken in the past, while working and raising 2 littles. I can't wait to start this program! I feel like getting in is going to be the hardest part of the whole process. Congratulations again to everyone!

Your story sounds eerily similar to mine except I'm 35 lol. But we got through the hardest hurdle (getting in) now the fun begins. I Can't wait! Congratulations!!

I'm so glad I'll have someone around the same age and with a similar background to go through the next 3 semesters with! I'm so excited and a little nervous! Can't wait to meet you!

Hey all, I just went to the nursing admission office to follow up about the hard copy acceptance mail. The admin said they just sent out the letter last friday. Hopefully this week we all will get.

I just get to look into the courses must be taken. I will have another 5 non-nursing subjects to take along with the NUR courses.

Gonna be really busy soon..

I got my hard copy in the mail Saturday

What are the courses that must be taken? Where did you find that? Im pretty sure I've taken most of the courses I need, but I want to be able to register for anything I can take in winter/summer session to ease the stress during the spring and fall.

Hi jess1608, I found that on our Mysccc college catalog. You can sign in your sccc account and will see on the left bar.

There are Bio130, Eng101, Psy101, Bio132, Eng102, His103 or His104, Bio244, Mat103, His101 or His102, and PHL211.

Got my official packet today. Orientation is on Dec 7th!

Hi everyone -

Did anyone apply as a transfer and get any sort of notification yet? I hate that I can't check my application status as a transfer :(

Hey ajusty2 I would say to call admissions and see what the deal is if anything.

Yup, that got me nowhere. She said to wait for the letters because they were all mailed out. My rubric score was pretty low compared to some of the ones mentioned above so I don't think I'm getting in anyway :(

Don't even worry about it if that's the case there are a few of us who applied more than once.
