I have to take the TEAS next week and Ive been studying the study guide for over a month now, I really need to get a good grade on this. Do you think studying the study guide is enough?? Thanks:)

Wow, Congrats! Thats great. I did the online assessment and I scored an 89 composite. To be considered for the program, I need to score in the top 70th percentile. Do you know what percentile your score was??

my 92% was good for 99th percentile nationwide so getting an 89 would still be very high

Hey everyone..I am taking the TEAS this Saturday and I am freaking out about the science portion!! Did anyone take the online exam and how does the science portion compare to the actual exam? Are questions taken from the study guide? Help..I'm so nervous!

I'm sure you will do fine... just don't get stressed because once I finished it I definately felt like it had been an easy test since I was prepared for it

Do you remember if there were a lot of chemistry and physics questions?

I really don't! I'm sorry! It seems like there was some kind of physics, but I just can't remember exactly. Chemistry I don't remember any at all, but that doesn't mean there wasn't any, it just didn't stick in my mind. Mostly I remember the English was easy and the math was way easier than I thought. I had been really struggling on these word problems with the percentages, like "X was on sale for $Y and it was 20% off, how much was the cost originally" and the three people working on one thing, and how long would it take - there were NONE of those math problems on the exam.

I took it in the beginning of this month. I was very disappointed with the science portion! It was all stuff that I feel wasn't in the ATI study guide...I studied way to much into A&P and there was not a single question on it. I got a B on my test and was in the 51 perceintile. It wasn't what my school wanted, but I think they went through the individual sections to see what was fair and not, and well in the math section my lowest grade was a 99% so in some areas I did well and in others I didn't. Good luck

I'm taking the TEAS on the 20th and I'm preparing with the study guide. The testing center said that I am not allowed to bring anything, including pencil and blank paper, into the facility. No materials will be provided. Is this standard? I can't imagine having to do the math section without being able to write. Really no pencils??!

ymaudy,

You definitely need a pencil for the math portion of the TEAS. I can't imagine any school not allowing paper and pencils. That is crazy. Our school supplied both. They handed the paper out during the math section of the exam. We were not allowed to use calculators, just paper and pencils.

Hi everyone - I'm going to take the exam fairly soon and would like to know what study guide you all are talking about. Is it Secrets of the TEASĀ® Exam Study Guide?

Specializes in LDRP.

It's been almost a year since I took the TEAS, but I remember I was really surprised with how many geology questions I was asked, like questions about tectonic plates and types of rocks...so I guess what I'm saying is don't forget to study the stuff that seems unlikely to be on the test! Also, I was expecting a lot of difficult math questions and word problems, but I found the math to be fairly easy.

Good luck! :D

Studying the Study guide for the TEAS is definitely enough, I only studied for a week before I took my test and I passed and got accepted into the school! I only studied from the study guide as well and made sure I did ALL the practice problems and tests. Eventually I did the problems so many times that I actually began memorizing the answers, I would have someone make up questions for you if your having the same issue with doing the problems over and over. Otherwise, good luck and make sure to get plenty of sleep the night before and eat a good breakfast before the test!
