Hello everyone! I was just wondering if studying from saunders (book and cd) is a good plan to follow. I know that the test plan has changed and was curious if there was a better book to be studying from. I dont have the money for kaplan, but i did read the book and i feel like it has helped. Any advice from people who have recently taken the exam would be great!

I took NCLEX-PN and passed first time out with the minimum questions of 85 and only studied Saunders. I did an intensive study program that looked pretty like it pretty closely mirrored Susanne's plan. I was very well prepared for the test and breezed thru it as did a friend of mine who studied the exact same way with Saunders. Paid for an NCLEX course that told me how to study and to use Saunders book and CD. :)
Saunders by itself is good.

I've mostly used Saunders when I took NCLEX LPN and NCLEX RN. Passed both tests in one attempt. I think Saunders prepare you very well for the test.
I recently took NCLEX LPN after using Saunder's. I only read it half way. I didn't put too much time into studying NCLEX books because my other classmates said that the test was NOTHING like the books, and they were right. Nothing I read was useful to me. I only revisted my lab values, and a few disease processes...I passed with 85 questions!
I agree the Davis Q&A book is the best. I did questions from the cd and the book for about 2 1/2 weeks and it worked, I passed NCLEX. I am an now an RN. I took my boards on June 29 and found out my results on the July 1st. This book has very very good questions similar to Nclex. By the way Davis Q&A has a lot of SATA so you can practice and practice. It has over 5000 practice questions. I will definately suggest it!! Other books I had did not have any or few select all that apply. Plus this book is about $45 and it is well worth it.
Just found out yesterday morning that I've passed my NCLEX-RN examination. Haven't found it as difficult as I was expecting and the questions were straight forward. After taking my exam, I have realized that all this palava about Nclex have been created to generate a bussiness.
All you need guys, is to study Saunders Comprehensive review and nothing else. Don't stress yourself for nothing. I didn't take any review and I managed to finish my test in 90 min. at 75 questions.
Good luck to you all and don't let yourself be bullied in spending your money on all sorts of fancy reviews
I was just wondering why no one mentions using Lippincott's Q & A Review book and CD. I have that one and it has over 5800 questions and answers and has 6 practice exams. Does anyone have experience with Lippincott? Also, shopaholic42488, did you take your test already? This book is very informative and could help.
