Students!!!

I am a student at North Central MO College in Trenton....way up north in the sticks. I am currently taking my pre-reqs for the nursing program. Competition has been stiff the last couple years for the nursing program, so I am really worried that I will go through the expense of taking the pre-reqs, then not get in. Going to a different school is not an option-I have a hubby, 3 kids, and animals to take care of. I am already going to be commuting 30 minutes. The next closest school is over 2 hours away.

So anyway, so far have only taken 2 classes and got A's in both. I am taking my NLN Pre-Entrance Exam on September 11 and hoping for a good schore.

Hey all!

I am a nursing student at Avila, in Kansas City. This is the first day I have been to this site. I am a senior and hope to graduate in May. I would love to talk to any of you. I also have a question. I am on the student nursing organization board and we are trying to come up with a t-shirt idea. Do you all have any?

I'm just finishing up my 3rd semester at Penn Valley. If all goes well with finals, I will be graduating in May.

I'll be working at Shawnee Mission Med after I am done...I'm gunning for a spot in the ER.

Study hard, but have fun doing it!

We are doing sweatshirts with the college logo on the front, and fake "nursing diagnoses" for students on the back.

Example: social isolation related to excessive head in book syndrome

I just made that one up, can't recall what we really chose, but it was something along those lines. I think we also used a sleep deprivation, family coping, etc. There is a thread in the students forum with a lot of good examples.

My name is Jason. I am currently in my second week of the Mineral Area College LPN program. The plan is to complete the program and articulate over to the second year of the college's RN program. Currently work for BJC and hope to transfer to MoBap in St. Louis upon GN status.
