Students Applying for SHSU Fall 2015 Nursing Program

Hello!

Anyone who is applying to Sam Houston's fall 2015 nursing program is welcomed on this thread. Me and one other person had a conversation going on Sam Houston's Fall 2014 thread, but we decided to make our own. Please comment if you are applying! We were talking about TEAS scores, GPA, and other things on the other page and want to continue to talk about anything related to SHSU's nursing program on this page. Please make an account and comment/ask questions/share what you know about the program so we can get a good conversation going. Advisors are helpful, but so is this website, and, of course, other nursing students! :) Thanks.

Maybe but the probability for you to get accepted would have been lower though lool

I got accepted to The Woodlands location. I never saw the application status changed to "accepted", but I do know that today it says click to start a new application. Sarah, thank you for offering some insight into the program!

If anybody gets an emai stating that they were accepted, please let us know so we can find out if we are being left out or not I'm hoping that they should go out tomorrow or Monday. Fingers crossed! Oh, and please state what campus you were accepted to and whether or not you were selected from the waiting list or if it was the first send out of emails (if it says in the email). So anxious!

I truly believe we were placed in an informal waiting list because those who got their letters of acceptance have until midnight to accept the admission offer. So, they should be notifying us today and by the way and we are already 3 weeks after the application submission deadline.

The application stated that we would hear back 21 days after the application deadline. Since the deadline was June 15th, Monday marks the 21 day period. So I am thinking everyone will know where they stand on Monday.

I just don't understand why some people have already received theirs last week and others are left in the dark; not knowing whether or not all the acceptance emails have went out. If there were 300+ applicants to a campus, and only about ten of us on here staying updated, then there could be plenty of people who were accepted and are just not following this forum.

Looks like the campus is closed today. I tried to call but nobody picked up the call. I really don't know what's going on. It's very disappointing!!!

I just called them and the lady told me the last emails will be sent out this week.

I just received my email from Sam saying I did not get in. It doesn't say whether or not I'll be placed on the waiting list so let me know if any of you all were denied but put on a list.

I didn't get in either. They just told me to re-apply and improve my credentials if necessary because the Fall's applicant pool was apparently highly qualified.
