*** Yes, there is no way around the ICU experience requirment. All CRNA school MUST require at least one year of ICU experience in oder for the school to be accredited.

Besides ICU is where you will learn the skills you will need to suceed as a CRNA.

If your goal is to be a CRNA why are you working in dialysis?

I think that Case Western is the only CRNA school that will accept PACU as an alternative to ICU. Just a thought.

Some schools also accept ER experience, but it usually has to be from a trauma center where you will have the chance to work with very sick patients. I would get yourself into an ICU asap if you're interested in CRNA school; you will learn valuable skills (need at least 1-2 years of full-time ICU, some schools also prefer surgical or CV ICU)- best of luck!

if she goes to an icu and gets at least one year of experience there, and has a bsn, and gets accepted to crna school, then yes, the chances are good....
