I think I'm done answering student nurse help me threads here.
I've gotten rude answers, or they never even bother coming back to the thread to acknowledge the answers they received.
Some will ask life choice questions like "Where should I move?" or "Where should I apply?". Do they think someone is going to offer them a job here, is that why they start these threads? You have the whole internet to research towns, cities, regions, but instead you post a thread asking a bunch of strangers where you should move?
Some help me threads seem to be 'Help me do my homework' threads.
Thank you for reading.
did you ever consider that the person you're telling off online could be your boss?
Y'know, I've seen this question posed a couple of times on this board. For such a suggestion, I have three thoughts to offer:
1. Who cares if another poster is in fact your boss? AN is anonymous. Don't be an idiot giving away specifics of your identity and you'll be fine.
2. While telling him/her off is not as fun online, it's an acceptable (and safer) second to doing the deed in person. (assuming point #1 in this post is also true)
3. If you (general "you", no one in particular) are my boss, then please feel free to choke on the candor of my opinions until you need a nurse. Meanwhile, I'll be here, relaxing in a bubble bath and loving the fact that there's nothing anyone (except the mods, of course) can do about it.
I think the point was that sarah is apparently NOT trying to be anon.....

I understand. And I agree that edmia has a point regarding the poster in question.
I'm speaking in general as I've seen this posed in a couple of different spots now, with OPs who are not using what may be their real name/photo in their profile.

Part of the beauty of AN is the ability to freely express yourself while anonymous. I am anonymous, sarah not so much
Btw, been re-reading the mockery thread and it is hilarious! Love the sarcastic humor on here more than anything. I love to just laugh. It's so good for the soul.

Agreed. Folks who are aware of how to keep themselves anonymous online can really benefit from AN with nothing to fear in the way of repercussions. Those who aren't...well, I'd imagine that foot-in-mouth syndrome is especially painful when you do find out it's your boss on the other end of the keyboard. :)
I'm not sure how I missed that thread a few years back, but I've also been enjoying some of the masterpieces posted by AN members on that thread.
Very recently, I was scrolling through the most recent postings on AN and thinking to myself, "PVT, which school, how to choose a job--seriously? How is this posted repeatedly every **** day? Is Google broken??"
I'm sorry but i don't see what's wrong with a student or "pre-nursing student" asking for help. Maybe because I have created a thread asking which book are most beneficial. Everyone needs help. So i don't see the issue. not to mention there is a way to narrow what Type of threads you want to view on your timeline
I do this hitting the quote button on the post I'd like to quote, and then cutting and pasting the opening code in brackets and the closing code to open and close each portion. Easy if you are doing multiple quotes from the same poster. If you are quoting multiple sources it would be a little more difficult because each member has his or her own "code." You can figure it out by looking at what pops up when you hit "quote."
Thank you hey_suz
When you tap the down arrow thingy to reply or "thank" a specific post, on the left is a check box. Check all the boxes on posts you like, then when you're ready, go to the top of the page you're on, tap the curvy arrow on the top right, and it lets you reply with multi quote, including every post with a checked box.
Thank you ixchel, although I do not see the arrow box you are referring to but I think this will work.

Consider that there is currently a thread entitled Fired for posting on face book.
