    Yes.....and yes!

    It was mostly terminology- and it was really the only course in my academic career ( except for Latin) that I have used flashcards for.

    I wouldn't say it was difficult but it was time consuming. They're basically teaching you how to read and decipher a research study so you can apply it to your practice. Become familiar with the different types of research and the different types of studies. You'll be looking up papers a lot and writing papers too. I found it rather interesting and it really helped me learn how to use research in every day practice.

    I second what Rocknurse stated above. It wasn't necessarily difficult, but it was a LOT of work. Plus, in our course, we had to do a minimum 30-page research proposal with full statistical analysis. Mine ended up being 36 pages, plus an additional 8 pages of references. It was a bear of a project and one of the reasons why I have no desire to do the DNP if it doesn't involve enhancement of clinical skills. I don't ever want to do another research project ever again...LOL

    Yes. It wasn't hard, more time consuming with marginal value. It helps someone read studies and glean info from them, but you don't need a class to learn to ascertain study info.
