Student externship at Hospital for Special Surgery

Anyone got a job as a student nurse extern at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC? I did and I wanting to talk to others that have too.

i was just looking this place up yesterday. do they still have an internship program for new grads? how do you like it?

I have no idea honestly. I live in atlanta and I am going to to NYC in 9 days to check out the hospital. I start my externship june 7. The nurse recruiter is very nice.

Hello all,

I would like to apply for a summer nurse externship @ HSS for next year, 2011. What should I do, who do I speak to? Do I have any chances of getting, your opinion? I would like to give it shot again, and even try earlier than normal. I applied to two this year and did not get in. Would like to try different hospitals (I didn't know that HSS had this opportunity)

Hey! I know it's 2 years later, but I got the HSS internship and am deciding btw that and Lenox & NYU...could you tell me about what it was like at HSS? Was it all inpatient? How were the nurses? Were you independent? Did you end up applying to work at HSS for a job?
