A long time ago I was training with a nurse and before she started her med pass she goes "the most important med pass is one I do for myself" She began pouring random vitamins from the med cart into a cup and took them.
I have an aide that talks to herself. It's on the NOC shift but sometimes she works my shift and I'm always wondering "who is talking like that?" It's her. Full conversations.
One time I walked into the break room and a coworker was googling "how to cast spells on awful boss"
Wait...for real? Not just in a "my cat is cute and cuddly" way?? Like maybe they just shared a bed, you know...platonically?? And do you mean literal honey, like what bees make?
Oh God, so many questions, so many answers I don't actually want. People are freaks.
The cat apparently licked the honey. And just because my name is cardiacfreak, does not mean I am that freaky.
I just can't comprehend how crazy some people are.
One of my family members works in the medical field but not as a nurse. This happened before she started at her current facility so she did not know the person, but her coworkers thought they knew him very well.
Youngish male, very friendly and outgoing, liked by everyone he worked with. Worked at this facility for years. He was married and had young children. Much to the surprise of his coworkers, he was arrested, tried, and convicted of serial rape. He broke into the homes of multiple women in the area and violently raped them. There are people that my family member works with who STILL to this day believe that guy is innocent. I knew a jury member (this is a smallish area we live in) and apparently the evidence against him was overwhelming.
I worked with an LVN who was a hoarder. She would take leftover food from the dining room, store it on her med cart, and take it home. I followed her one night and found a whole bag of dinner rolls in the bottom of the cart. She had a lot of family issues, CPS involved, and I always felt a little sorry for her.
I currently work with 2 ladies that share the same husband. Long story- the husband and wife let his much younger cousin move in with them and the husband ended up cheating (with his own cousin) and got her pregnant. Instead of divorcing him the wife just accepted it and they all live together as one big "happy" family. They each have 3 children by him. The wife worked here first and she got the "girlfriend" hired on. The husband doesn't work and won't allow the women to drive. They try to work the same shifts so, he only has to make one trip. He'll come to pick them up hours before they get off and he'll just sit in the parking lot, it's so creepy. Oh, and the "girlfriend" has been written up before for asking people if they want to have threesomes with her and the husband. She also claims that the husband and wife aren't together anymore, that she just lives with them. The wife says otherwise although she does leave from time to time for a day or 2 but, always ends up going back.
I used to work with a nurse who would constantly "joke" about who she'd like to kill (ex husbands mostly) and how she'd get away with it. She'd also frequently call work when she was drunk to talk to whomever would listen. She'd talk about putting spells on people a lot.
People have tried :-\ several coworkers have let the wife come stay with them but, she always goes back. Let her borrow money too to try and get away. The girlfriend sees nothing wrong, apparently the whole family is... um, odd. Child services have been involved too, the children were even taken away for several months. They declared the home uninhabitable because, it was so dirty. They even had goats and chickens loose in the house. The husband was investigated too because, there was a question if the girlfriend was still a minor when she got pregnant the first time, she was right at 18. They eventually got the children back. I feel sorry for the kids. 3 of them have problems. They've tried to draw disability checks off of them all I reckon too. It's all crazy. I think the only reason they even still have jobs is because the boss feels sorry for them, they are both sweet but, a little naive, backwards and lazy. They both get in trouble all the time for this or that. I don't get it.. The lives some people live.
