Stony Brook's ABSN Class of 2023

Hi everyone! I am applying to Stony Brook's ABSN and wanted to create this thread for anyone who wanted to share stats, updates or need assistance! 

I just submitted my application. I am extremely nervous to see what happens next

I hope everyone did read all their information carefully, because I am in the middle of an email argument with the program assistant who told me because I don't have all the science prerequisites completed my application is probably not going to be considered.  I'm currently taking Microbiology at SUNY Suffolk and I'm going to be taking Chemistry next Spring.  I'm pissed with myself because I think they just updated their website in the past month to say you have to have 3 out of 4 science prerequisites completed before you submit your application.  I am so angry with myself.

oh nooo ? I'm guessing one of my letters of rec will also be submitted late, so I hope the admissions folks are being a bit lenient with this.. fingers crossed they'll still consider it and let you turn in midyear grades to show where you are at in microbio or something similar!

I applied back in early September so I'm dying to find out if I was granted an interview. The wait is too long. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) said late October / early November. I can't wait that long....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hey everyone, good luck on applications! I also applied to Stony Brook, alongside UB and U of R, and will maybe apply to some programs with fall starts if I don't hear back from any of them before fall program deadlines. I am from upstate New York, so UB and U of R are definitely my top picks, but Stony Brook seems like a good program too! I am currently a senior at the University of Maryland, graduating in the Spring.

Anyone know if they will take AP exam scores/what kind of class will count for English Composition? I AP'ED out for my current degree's English 101 requirement with a 4 on AP Lang and then took a writing course two semesters ago called Professional Writing for Health Professions. I'm hoping one of these will count LOL

Hi everyone! I applied on the very last day that I could. I'm hoping they release interviews at the end of this month. I am very nervous about getting accepted. Stonybrook is my top choice and I am only applying to Stony and to Northeastern Univeristy. Good luck to everyone!

I also applied to the SBU ABSN program and I'm so happy this exists.  Anxiously waiting to hear back! Did anyone else hear that we won't find out if we're actually accepted to the program until like Dec/Jan? I heard we only hear if we got an interview late Oct/ early Nov.

Hi Everyone, this is my first time posting . Hope everyone is doing OK . I Completely missed the resume part snd now has an x , I was wondering if I can still submitted and what would they ask for s resume and what kind  of job should my resume be based on if im not a nurse yet

hi everyone! hopefully interview emails in the next 2-3 weeks! I just got an acceptance from Fairfield today! I also applied to NYU, pace, Adelphi, and Molloy! My undergrad GPA is a 3.61 with a prerequisite GPA of around 3.7/3.8! Stonybrook is my top choice though

I wish we would find out this week but that's unrealistic....I'm old, I have my BA and MBA in Accounting, have been one for 20 years. Mid-life crisis career change...LOL...no clinical experience but I have a 4.0 in my prerequisites, took them this past year, but my undergrad GPA was only a 3.0 because I REALLY enjoyed myself at Villanova....LOL..
