Hi everyone! I am applying to Stony Brook's ABSN and wanted to create this thread for anyone who wanted to share stats, updates or need assistance!

Did anyone also apply to the Binghamton ABSN program? I'm trying to get an idea of how their acceptance rates differ

I applied to Binghamton! Two weeks ago I checked my status checker and I saw I had been accepted. I called the Decker school about it, and they told me I was part of the first wave of acceptances. So if you didn’t get accepted yet, there should be more coming!

For those applying to the BBP as well, will you be submitting the same essay you submitted for ABSN?

Yeah, I’m doing everything the same and I know people in the past who did that as well.

I think that ship has probably sailed unfortunately. I know it’s a competitive program but I thought I’d at least get an interview!

They said decisions would come in 6-8 weeks so that brings us to sometime between Jan 17-31. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later.

Anyone know when the 2 year BSN rec letters are due? Do they have extra time after our submission date? One of my writers has dropped off the face of the earth and I'm wondering if I should even bother submitting mine and potentially wasting $50.

It states that the section can be edited after the deadline but I feel that we should have the 3 required letters submitted prior to the deadline.

Thanks! That would be ideal. I wish they could just grab it from my ABSN application because I've been trying to get this person to upload the exact same letter he uploaded for that app for weeks now ?

I would still submit your application so the entire thing isn’t late.
