Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of my prerequisites for the nursing program at Stony to apply for admission next fall! Just wanted to reach out and say hey to anyone else in the same shoes! Where else are you all applying?
SBU is obviously my first choice, but I'm also applying to NYU, Adelphi, Molloy, I might apply to York and Lehman, and I might apply to LIU Brooklyn. I would apply to Hunter, but I don't want to transfer for the spring only to be waitlisted (or rejected!) for one of their 100 seats.
My professor who is in the board of admissions said that if school of nursing cant get a class (80 students) from 180 that was given interviews, they will be giving out more interviews.
But i just saw someone write on the prenursing club fb page that they will be giving out more interviews.... SO no idea whats going on or how theyre doing it
How is the pre-nursing club called so I can look for it on FB! Thanks!

sorry for the late response! but here ya go!
I doubt anyone will hear anything new until the interviews are all done. I don't recall what the last scheduled date was. Maybe someone else recalls that information. I have my interview later this week, if I hear any new info I'll definitely post it.
Whens your interview?
I just had mine yesterday and a midterm after
Rough day but I'm just glad it's over now

I have mine tomorrow and this week has been crazy for me as well. I had a test Monday and a lab practical Wednesday all while freaking out for my interview. I don't know why I am so nervous, lol. Worst comes to worst I can reapply next year and there is always Farmingdale.
Hi guys my interview is in a few weeks and am really nervous! I hate public speaking Lol I can do fine in front of a few but knowing there's other applicants in the room at the same time is crazy!!! Also are there any sites to brush up on the math or books it's been quite a long time since I was in school!
According to the email I got, the math is basic algebra that will not require a calculator. It should be fairly simple. I would just Google a basic algebra test and see if you'd be confident answering the questions. If you struggle with it then I would definitely practice. I'm sure there are plenty of apps for algebra practice regardless of what smartphone OS you are running.
