Stony Brook U Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2014 Applicants!

Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of my prerequisites for the nursing program at Stony to apply for admission next fall! Just wanted to reach out and say hey to anyone else in the same shoes! Where else are you all applying?

SBU is obviously my first choice, but I'm also applying to NYU, Adelphi, Molloy, I might apply to York and Lehman, and I might apply to LIU Brooklyn. I would apply to Hunter, but I don't want to transfer for the spring only to be waitlisted (or rejected!) for one of their 100 seats.

Yourlocalasian: I too am currently in another nursing program but SBU is my first choice as well I started this other program just in case I don't get in but if you find out any information regarding switching let me know it's been one of my concerns as well!

Oh no! I just read some of you already got an email to get an appointment for interviews... I still haven't received anything :unsure:... this is making me so nervous!!

To the people who already got their email for an interview, do you guys had good GPA's? or do you think they look more into the personal statement?? What do you think they look into?

I got my interview email on friday, I do have a high GPA. Not sure at all how they make their decisions though !

@YourLocalAsian Do you think you receive an email because you pappliedp early? I applied like the last week before the deadline .. And where. Are theses email coming to ? Are you guys receiving it through solar? Or regular emails

I sent my application in at the beginning of December and I got my email through my gmail acct, not through solar!

Okay I am guessing early December of 2012? Because I know the deadline was November 2013... What was your Gpa like if you don't mind me asking?

The Nov deadline one is for the accelerated program.

The basic bsn program's deadline was January 1st.
