Stony Brook U Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2014 Applicants!

Hey everyone! I'm in the middle of my prerequisites for the nursing program at Stony to apply for admission next fall! Just wanted to reach out and say hey to anyone else in the same shoes! Where else are you all applying?

SBU is obviously my first choice, but I'm also applying to NYU, Adelphi, Molloy, I might apply to York and Lehman, and I might apply to LIU Brooklyn. I would apply to Hunter, but I don't want to transfer for the spring only to be waitlisted (or rejected!) for one of their 100 seats.

I wasn't notified , sorry I can't answer your question. I was just wondering when they did them so I stop checking every 2 min

I got mine at like 5:02pm....Does yours say the below on it?

This offer is conditional pending successful completion and official documentation of the following: Official transcripts all schools attended, 2-3 credits Social Psychology with a grade of C or better, by 8/22/14

For me it says: Chemistry 3-4 credits, Developmental Psychology 3 credits, and elective 3 credits. I was taking these classes as I was applying for the program, so I have them completed. As a matter of fact, I just sent in my official transcript.

Congrats on those accepted! I'm hoping to be given a chance this is my second time applying and even tho my GPA isn't great I tried to define myself with volunteer ems experience .. Was never even given an interview though so I suppose there is no chance for me ..

Hey, don't lose hope man. I wish you the best of luck ! I read that a lot of people on this forum got in after the 2nd try, so you never know!

Ahhhh this suspense is killing me!! I interviewed on March 11th...I can't stop checking my email as SBU is the only nursing program I've applied into. Does anyone know of anyone that's been rejected? I heard they send out rejections first, but I haven't seen anyone post on here saying they have been rejected.....then again, I highly doubt after being rejected anyone would want it immediately post that....

thoughts?
