Hey guys! So I just applied to the SBU Basic (2 year) program a couple of days ago. I thought it would be nice to start a forum. Feel free to ask any questions! And good luck to all who are applying!!!

Have you all noticed that the application deadline was extended into this month. I think it's now 2/18. I wonder why and I also wonder when decisions will go out.

Hey Evadney. After i read your post i called my friend and told her she can still apply but when she tried to put in the entry term on the application the drop menu was blank and the system exited her out every time she tried. I guess that's for the other programs?... I hope it's not extended for the 2 year basic program bc then it gives time for more people to apply which makes the chances of getting in slimmer!!

the extension is until 2/8 and it's only for the accelerated programs- not the basic.

I'm sorry I checked again I guess I figured since accelerated was closed so long ago that it was for Basic. I just checked and its for RN to BSN and BSN to Masters. Academic Programs | School of Nursing

But I thought the application end up for 1 year program done in 2012 .. How possible they open again?

I just figured out that us for RN to bSN :)

Hello, I'm new to this website. I've applied for the fall 2013. I'm so nervous. I have a 3.8 gpa and will have completed all pre reqs by May. I think I had great recommendations but I don't feel that my statement was at its best. It could be my downfall. The site says that we should have rolling notifications on acceptance beginning March 1st. Is that true?
