Stony Brook Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2013 applicants

Hey guys! So I just applied to the SBU Basic (2 year) program a couple of days ago. I thought it would be nice to start a forum. Feel free to ask any questions! And good luck to all who are applying!!!

No way! Late April?? That is sooooo far! I can't wait any longer lol did any one apply to the binghamton program? I'm still waiting for them amd nyu

Hey guys I just called stony brook to ask when the decisions will be sent out and they said mid to late april ! I wonder why they told some of you end of march....I thought we might hear back this week the end of april is so far away :([/quote']

I applied to NYU, but I'm reconsidering that option. I've been reading many disappointing posts about their program. Students are miserable with the program saying it's unorganized and that they don't care about the students! So upset because I figured if the idea with SBU went out the door, I'd have NYU to fall back on. It's getting tough. I also applied to NYIT.

I also called the nursing department today and they told me decisions will not be made til mid April :(

the 2 year bsn

I emailed the Nursing Administration yesterday and got the same story regarding decisions not being emailed until mid to late April. I also mailed in my deposit for the other school I was accepted to (which I was holding off on in hopes of hearing from stony brook this week). I hate to lose the deposit money, but I still hope SBU accepts me!!

Same here.. I got accepted to SCCC nursing program and was holding off on deposit but just sent it in today since SB will not let us know til April.. This anticipation is killing me!! Hopefully it will all be good news for us!!! You can tell we all really want it :)
