Stony Brook Nursing Basic BSN Fall 2013 applicants

Hey guys! So I just applied to the SBU Basic (2 year) program a couple of days ago. I thought it would be nice to start a forum. Feel free to ask any questions! And good luck to all who are applying!!!

Which school you had applied?

Suffolk county community college.

Me too! I'm sending in my deposit for Suffolk but I'm really hoping for stony brook. The wait is starting to get to me!

My deposit isn't due until the 29th of march. I'm gonna see if I hear from stony brook in the next week or so, if not I'll be mailing mine in too. Congrats to you Corrine!

I called stony brook this morning and the women said the are planning on sending out decisions last week in March. Keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck

It's getting more exciting now !! Maybe next week we will have result.

This year way early giving out results compare to last year. Maybe not many ppl applied this year. Last year in may 10 results were giving out.

Last year they were going through their accreditation so because of that it took a lot longer. Ugh I wish they had a weekend program, it would make my decision so much easier if I get accepted.

They don't have unfortunately. If you only can go school weekend then I think you should make your decision either work or school.

I mailed mine in already. To be honest with you I am still hoping and would love to go to stony brook I just know how competitive it is. I wanted to make sure I don't miss the date waiting to hear from stony brook. I hope we hear something next week. I applied to the accelerated program and they sent out decision real fast this year unfortunately I didn't get in.

Likewise! I would be happy in either program, I'm just hoping for stony brook since it's the quicker route to a BSN. Good luck lady, I hope we get in! My mother told me that if I mail in my deposit for SCCC then I'll definitely get into SBU. Haha ... I'm mailing mine in Monday, hoping I'll hear before then.
