Stony Brook BSN - Summer/Fall 2011 Applicants

ok, it's never too early to start a thread about applying for 2011 ... :D ... which i am most definitely doing even though i am still waitlisted for 2010. i just won't be able to attend this year if i get in ... :(

but that's ok! i'll be done with all my prereqs and have time to write a better application (if in fact that is at all possible, you know?).

anyone else applying to stony brook for summer 2011?

I am in the 2 year program. We will be meeting with you guys/gals at the beginning of the semester! Enjoy the summer.

That's awesome news! Congratulations!! :yeah: Is this for the accelerated or 2-year program? Don't forget, there is a Facebook group you can join if you're in the accelerated (I think there is also one for the 2-year, though not too sure). Lots of info there and a chance to meet your new classmates!

I didn't get in either :( I have a 3.8, great references and essay too, and a little less work experience. But it still stinks! I really just wanted to do an online RN-BSN because it's so flexible, so I'm ending up doing SUNY Plattsburgh's because that's still online as well - plus they accepted me, which is obviously a bonus! :)

Good luck if you apply to SBU next year - or try Platts, they are rolling admission I believe!

Hi! I was recently looking into SUNY Plattsburgh's program online, and was curious to see if you liked or disliked it? Any info would be appreciated! thanks so much! (I was also considering SUNY Delhi and SUNY Canton, which are all offered online.)

just got accepted off the waitlist...never in a million years thought that this would happen. so excited....anyone have info on orientation (like what time it starts on tuesday..and if we have to bring anything)? i accepted on solar and paid a deposit. just nervous since I don't have all the info...won't believe i'm really in until I go to orientation i guess. can't wait to start : )

congratulations jilleighanne!! that is awesome! :) i look forward to meeting you. i see you have not posted enough on here to send private messages yet. are you willing to post your email address here? i will write to you and will be happy to fill you in on everything you need to know. :D
