Stony Brook Basic BSN Class of 2018

Hey Everyone,

Now that the deadline for the class of 2018 Basic BSN program at Stony Brook University is coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to and for all applicants. I hope there isn't already a thread made already because I searched thoroughly but could not find one. If you have any questions or just want to talk feel free to comment. Best of luck to all of you on your applications!

Last year they had interviews in march and people received the email about interviews around this time. That's a month later than what we received which is why I'm guessing we'll hear back early to mid march

Oh ok. I thought maybe they are still setting up interviews. I have no idea lol I just want to know already. I hope you're right!

Hopefully they still have interview e-mails to send out but it's not looking too likely being that people interviewed a while ago already.

I hate waiting! What other programs are you guys applying to? I applied to Molloy and Adelphi. I'm also planning on applying to CUNY York College because that's where I'm currently a student and it's cheap.

My only choice this year is Stony Brook. I don't want the commute, nor the student loans, of the other choices. Have you heard from any other schools?

I started a Bing application but never got around to completing it. I can't really go too far and I don't have the money or credits to go to many other schools. I put all of my eggs in one basket.

I applied to Stony Brook and Binghamton.

I haven't heard from the other schools yet, but that's because I just submitted everything (I had a problem with York college sending my transcript because they're a mess). Now I wait. I'm sure I'll get into Molloy or Adelphi but I can't really afford it. I applied in case I don't get into York or Stony Brook. My first choice is Stony Brook, but York is cheaper so if I get into both I'm not sure what I'll do.

Are the interviews over? I'm obsessed with my email. I check it every 30 minutes!

I'm not sure if interviews are over, but I keep checking my email constantly as well. I hope we hear something soon!
