Hey Everyone,
Now that the deadline for the class of 2018 Basic BSN program at Stony Brook University is coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to and for all applicants. I hope there isn't already a thread made already because I searched thoroughly but could not find one. If you have any questions or just want to talk feel free to comment. Best of luck to all of you on your applications!
Hello all! My name is Randy, but I prefer to go by Joey (middle name) and I will be attending SBU in the fall. I am actually moving there on August 18 after my last final in MD. Does anybody have any recommendations on places to live and reasonable price or know of anyone looking for a roommate by chance? Also, any other advice one may have would be very helpful.
Thank you!
Hi everyone, I too have just graduated from the BBP program at Stony Brook...and am actually the person YourLocalAsian was referring to when he said that classmates had received a spot in the program the day before orientation began! I did not receive a call until late August! If you are on the Alternate List, my advice to you would be to stay positive and keep the School of Nursing informed in terms of pre-req completion and grades for any spring/summer semester courses that may be outstanding. Keep your heads up, because the list does move and you just might get a seat! Good luck!
Does anyone knows what type of topic stonybrook brief writing sample interview is about?Hi, I have an upcoming interview for the two year nursing program and was told there was a brief writing sample which I'm extremely nervous about and wanted to know is it similar to the essay for the application; on why you want to be a nurse or the topic is completely different. Also, what type of Math is on the interview.
- hi i have an interview this weekend, how can i practice the math? and essay?Hello everyone. I've been keeping up with this forum since it started and finally joined. I had my interview on the 8th. The staff was very friendly I have to say. The math was not as hard as I expected but without a calculator the adding and division take quite some time. It was also timed down to the second. I missed a few questions and I am praying and I have faith in still getting an accepted email soon!!

so for some reason I thought this whole time i had to make my schedule during orientation lol... but I got an email today saying i need to register and was given the classes to sign up for. They were Mathematics for Health Care, Pathology, Professional Role Development in Nursing, Principles and Applications in Nursing Interventions I, & Health Assessment.
I registered and see that i need clinical for PAI and it says lab required for health assessment too. I thought we only had clinical for one day the first semester??? is that one day for both classes or two days towards clinicals for each class? does anyone know? I know we wont find out the day/time until the first week but still need to figure out a tentative work schedule for my boss.
