My attempt at helping those who wish to apply to the Stony Brook Accelerated (1 year) Nursing Program.

Just got that same email and thought it was a rejection lol. Due to high volume... I guess we'll be hearing about interviews around the 20th, keeping my fingers crossed. Are you applying to the 2 year as well?

me too, i got super nervous about that email! what makes you think we'll hear about interviews that soon? and i only applied for 1 year absn, what about you? my info regarding recommendations still isn't updated on SOLAR. i'm hoping its all taken care of by monday.

Still no updates on SOLAR- showing references not received. Anyone else having the same problem?

As long as it says it online I'm sure you're ok. They're pretty good about giving you info if you call just to make sure.

They will definitely consider your application. When I went through their were quite a few people in the process of taking classes and I KNOW they were accepted :)

Pretty standard. Basic math like fractions, multiplication, division. Nothing you can't brush up on via Kahn Academy. And the writing was just a standard paper...can't remember the topic, but intro, body, conclusion type.

The professors are EXTREMELY supportive! They are willing to work with you every step of the way. They definitely want you to succeed. As far as program competitiveness, everyone really is there for one another. I know that I can pretty much ask everyone in my class for help and they will do whatever they can. There is definitely a sense of camaraderie in my class and we all get a long (for the most part!).

Hey! I usually get an e-mail about messages posted, but I didn't about this one. I would call the IT department to verify. This system is relatively new so I'm sure there are times that mistakes happen. Also, this program sends an email to your references so just double check with them and make sure they understand the process. Hope this helps.

No email for the interview here 😢 hopefully they're not done sending out the emails. I know you definitely don't get accepted without one.
