Still no job for me...

Specialties NP

Well, it has been 5 weeks now since I quit my first NP position in hospital medicine, and I still do not have another job. On top of that, I am getting a divorce...so life is not the greatest at the moment. :( I had 2 interviews for a Diabetes NP position, but am still waiting to hear the verdict. I have looked everywhere (magazines, newspapers, job boards, internet), sent my resume everywhere, talked to every NP I can think of, etc...and so now I am getting very frustrated. I feel like I took the wrong position and now all the good NP jobs are taken. Wish me luck!

You are having a bad time right now! So sorry. You can always move to SC. We need FNP's in our ER. It's nice, the docs are great to work with and the benefits are good, since you work for the hospital. The credentialing took a couple of months. They'll pay for relocation, too. Cost of living is cheap.

I sound like a recruiter but you might want to think about getting away from it all. Lots of jobs out there. I was looking at the DOD jobs. Travel and benefits.

Ok, now I am waiting to hear back on 2 different NP positions I interviewed for. I am limited in my choices because I am certified in adult acute care NP only, and not FNP. So hopefully one of these 2 will work out for me. I also just applied for another job today, and am continuing to look everywhere for other jobs constantly. Phew. I am still separated from my husband (he is being even worse now :( and I cannot afford to get divorced right now...so that is on hold as well. I am doing the best I can to stay positive and hopeful despite everything, but it is just so hard sometimes. :( Thanks for your help everyone. I really appreciate it.

Sorry you are going through all this mess. When it rains, it pours! Good luck in your job search. My thoughts are with you.

Take care....agree with VivaRN - sorry for the upheaval in your life at the moment.

Chris, I don't know where you live, but maybe look into the Indian nursing service. I know they need providers, particularly in the area of diabetes.

Good luck.
