Hello! I just received my acceptance package to STCC for the fall of 2009. I am kinda shocked I actually made it in! Just wanted to see if there were anyone else on this forum who got in. :)
They always seem to be pretty bad about replying to parking. I seem to remember that they replied a couple of weeks or so prior to the semester actually starting. That's not kept me from emailing them twice a month though just in case. I just copy and paste when I feel the need to email again. LoL.
Hi everyone,
I emailed about my parking permit back in May and nothing either. I think I'm going to call tomorrow and see if I find any success with calling them. Yesterday I received an e-mailed about the grant passing for the smartphones. I'm glad I didn't buy anything yet, cause I was sure tempted. They wanted to know what service I have, which is T-mobile and if I am able to access the blackboard. I have already responded to that email as well. F.Y.I.....I've been using the same I.D for the last two years. When I go sign a book out at the library at STCC and my I.D is expired they just put a new bar code for the new semester. So if you just need to update your I.D you should be about to go to the library whenever they are open.
Which class is it? If you go onto the stcc nursing webpage it lists each course that is required and you have to complete it before the semester you are in. For example, there are a few people in my class (class of 2010) that needed to take micro over the summer because it is listed in the third semester. I think that the first semester classes are english, psych, A&P1, not sure of the rest but I would suggest if it is a class that you have to take by semester 2 (spring) that you do everything you can to finish it this summer because you do not want to have to worry about taking another class in addition to the nursing program. I took a 3 credit honors course in the spring and I would not recommend it at all! Hope this helps!
Do your best to get a C+ you definetly will not want to take that in the spring semester and unfortunetly they don't make exceptions to the rule, plus with the clinical being on random days its really tough to take a course outside of the program because they usually meet on tues/thurs or MWF and lecture is on Thursday...so that leaves the night classes which kind of makes for a long day. STCC has summer tutors, honestly look into it if you think you might not make it. Try to stay positive and good luck! I took A&P 1 over the summer (with 2 other classes) and it was not a walk in the park I will tell you that.
It's A & P II. It's looking like I'll finish it, but I'm a bit stressed over it. Thanks for the help.
