I used Mosby's and Saunders for the last two semesters and I found them very helpful for school exams.

My class didn't have a choice. We started the Saunders books the very first semester and every week we had to hand in one of the quizes that were on the disks at the back of the book. I can honestly say that I hated doing them, but they really did help me to understand the disease process' better and Im sure that it helped me to pass my NCLEX.

Yeah, the Saunders book came with our tuition. Our teacher doesn't make us do anything out of it but she gets some of our test questions directly from the book. I am in my 2nd term and it has been very helpful so far. Check with your school (if you have one of those all-inclusive tuitions) and see if any books come with tuition so you don't double-up on some expensive book. Best of luck to you!

Many of the NCLEX review books are almost a complete nursing course nicely organized into concise lists of facts. Those are so helpful as supplemental information in preparing for your tests while you are in school that it over shadows their purpose as NCLEX prep books.

:heartbeat hello. we had to use our nclex once we finished all of our fundamental classes. it was very helpfull for exams. we also had an exit exam on our saunders nclex, which is the best, that you had to pass before you could graduate!!!! i suggest using one now. it has just so much helpfull information. it also shows the type of format you will be using when you take the real thing!!! good luck! :)

I find the nclex book make a nice outline to start reading before reading the required reading and makes a good place to start when writing notes or studying. Makes be more effective
