I found these forums and posted yesterday in the welcome forum but thought I'd repeat it here! I am really looking forward to finding how how you all are doing!
......
I am finally returning to school after a 20 year hiatus to pursue Plan B -- my B.N.! I graduated in '85 with a B.Ed and Plan A was to follow my Bachelor's with a Master's in Speech Path. It's funny how life has a way of changing your goals and dreams ... I married in '84 and was a SAHM/WAHM. After feeling slightly "lost" for many years, in the spring of this year, I had the revelation that I was meant to be a nurse! Guess this means I will finally have to stop saying, "I don't know what I want to be when I grow up!"
I will begin with a correspondence course in Nutrition on August 1st and then hit the campus in my own city in September, taking a 60% course load to complete the pre-nursing year! I am really pumped that my funding came through a few weeks ago!
Big changes on the horizon and I'm sooo excited!!
Hope to gain a lot from these forums -- they look super!

Welcome. You're in for a fun ride :). It's nice to challenge your mind after years of being home with kids--well, a *different* kind of challenge, anyway. Ah, you'll have a blast (says the girl who needs to turn the computer off and go study for a chemistry test she has tomorrow, ugh).
have you ever been a camp nurse? Just wondering! I direct summer camp right now so I think I may just have it on the brain but I will definitely be back here as camp nurse some time in my future!

Welcome! I am starting A&P I and Human Growth & Devleopment this fall. :) Glad to see you - I too have "finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up" and it feels sooooo good!

I'm taking those too, also in the fall!!! The only other one I have, aside from the A&P lab, is the Nutrition course, which is by correspondence. I've got a 60% course load .. what about you?

It DOES feel soo good!! I'm glad you have found something you want to do, just like me!!!
Hope to talk soon ...
Yeay Karen - we can muddle through together then. I considered nutrition, but I have to work full-time and don't want to over-do it, so I am setteling with just the two courses - they will be 7 credits combined and 6 is considered half-time (12 for full-time) at my college - yeay! The A&P I has lab combined with it - is that how yours is set up? I have noticed several people post where A&P I and A&P I lab are separate courses, but they are combined where I am going. Anyway - all of mine are online, so this should be interesting! I am excited - I can't wait to get started! At least we can be confused together
