For those of you who are starting the RN-BSN program, have you been in contact with your mentor yet?

My husband is starting the program and there has been no contact, no notification of who his mentor will be, nothing! It's been a long time since I began the program, but I feel like things happened sooner than a week before the start date.

I think I found out the day before. I started June 1st.

Through a harmonic convergence, the academic meetings and east coast graduation are this coming week. I'm guessing there might be a delay. What program is he enrolling in?

RN - MSN/Leadership

I will let him know that might be what's causing the delay.

He still hasn't heard from anyone. He's doubtful that his courses will be loaded by Monday. :-/

I'm in a different program but my mentor contacted me 2 days before the start of of my term.

I was told that I'd be assigned one the day before class started but she ended up contacting me about a week and a half ago. Maybe it depends on the mentor on when they end up contacting the student

klone- did your husband ever hear from his mentor? How long did it take?

(Just curious) Hope it all worked out ok!

Yah it's mentor meetings now.. So probably why. I remember when I started last year in the MBA my mentor said something like "I'll contact you after mentor meetings to see how you are doing on your first class!" - I wrote back and said "Dude, I have three classes almost done, open em up before you go!". So I had the whole term done before I actually spoke with my mentor. :p

Nope. Instead they bumped him to March.

I guess they are short on mentors, perhaps I should apply again. :)

When I applied they told me I may not get into February due to mentor shortages but I got lucky I guess
