Good luck with clinicals, is this your first semester, I am a second year and attempting care plans for pediatrics. I feel about like you do! I am lost with these.

Good luck! We start our clinicals in two weeks. I'm excited, but nervous. I hope it goes well for you, I'm sure it will!

Just do you best and good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine! At least you don't have to start your clinicals out in the hospital like they do at my school : (

When you first go in, make sure you know where the supplies are...most clinical instructors do a sort of savanger hunt for their students to know where the medications, refrigerator, charts, MARs, etc are located. Be clear on what the instructors want you to do...some are very strict and only want you to do what is assigned or have a focus for the day. Be helpful to the nurses, aides (if allowed) and the patients. If you have any difficulty, report to the instructor so that she can intervene. Best of luck!

Never be afraid to ask if you don't know. It will be much more impressive to have a student with you that is not afraid to admit that they need help than to be a know it all. Just try and make sure your questions are appropriate for the situation.
