I need advice, I'm a 1st semester nsg student, and I'm extremely...
I know how you feel, I am currently doing Peds and OB and this is difficult too, having to go into a childs room with their parents staring at you wondering what you are going to do to their child or why they have a student instead of an actual nurse. I have just come to the conclusion that when I go into a room I just tell the patients that I am going to do their assessment and really don't give them a choice, I know that sounds kinda harsh but we are busy and have a lot of things going on and several patients to take care of as nurses and we have to set schedules and the patients have to follow them. Unless the patient is in extreme pain or something is going on with them they can stand to have an assessment done, and if they are in pain I am sure they would like our help to get them some medication or some other intervention.

ATI TEST =(
thanks to your replies, our school does not use this to help us at all, they just use this to pass or fail us out of the class if we do not receive a level 2 on the exam. I got a level 1, a 63.3 and needed a 65 to pass with a level 2, i don't know what else to do. I have talked to the nursing director and everything. I really think they need to use this as an assessment tool, what it is intended to be!

ATI TEST =(
So I need some words of wisdom from some people who have been in my place or are currently in my place, I just took my Pediatric ATI exam today and failed and so now I have failed out because of this:cry:. I have an average of an 85 in the class and am doing great in clinicals but because I didn't get a level 2 on this exam I am out of the class. I had about a week in a half left and 1 more semester to graduate. It really sucks and I am lost on what to do. Any advice?????

I need some advice and help...ANYONE!!!!!
I have changed my study habits greatly this semester and last semester from my first. I try and study each day for a few hrs and not put all of the studying for the last day before the test. I feel like if I study every single day before the test, no matter how long, by test day everything is like a review for me.
