  1. Supplies....what did you have to get for school ?

    The same things you always get for school: binders, paper, note cards, pens, pencils, hi-lighters, etc...

    I'm a STNA and I only work every other weekend from 6a-2p

    Mine is Aug 09-July 10, M-F 830-3
  6. So, what color are your school uniforms?

    We can wear whatever scrub shirts and pants we want to class and lab. We have white clinical scrubs, us girls have to also where a white apron with navy trim

    Mine is July 23, 2010. First quarter finals next week.

  10. LPN or RN

    I was in a BSN program right after high school, did some pre-reqs but got burned out with work and school. After taking a break I just started LPN school with plans of further education.

    I am. I was doing pre-reqs for BSN but took a break, stress from paying for it all myself. Now I'm in LPN school planning on doing LPN to RN and hopefully to BSN
  12. working as cna while in lpn school?

    I'm working but only my weekends, so just 4 days a month. I could not work through the week since I have school M-F 8:30a-3:00p.
  13. Best places to buy uniforms?

    I second this! Most of my scrubs are from here, there are lots of tops for $6.99 and up. I just bought $100 worth of stuff the other day.
  14. showers

    At my facility our residents get showers 2x a week, all the residents are divided up amongst all three shifts.
  15. CNA & post mortem care - mandatory?

    I have been a STNA for almost 5 years and have never done post mortem care. I have taken care of the dying who did pass the shift after me and I have helped with others but have not done it myself.
